Taste

At last. Cheese in the Valley! Stefanie Angstadt has filled a void the Oley Valley has had for a very long time with her creamery, Valley Milkhouse, located on Covered Bridge Farm. Regardless of whether or not Stefanie is at work making a large variety of cheeses from cow and sheep's milk, she always has her refrigerator stocked for anyone to pay a visit to buy cheese on days she might be at the Easton Farmers' Market or the Saucon Valley Farmers' Market

Her cheeses are named after weeds you can find growing in Pennsylvania. Witchgrass anyone? Stefanie recently had a celebration that served as a welcoming to her creamery last month with a cheese party. Cheese tastings are held weekly at the creamery -- visit her Facebook page for dates. Cheese plate catering and custom cheeses to come! She also makes sheep yogurt and cultured butter (sometimes flavored with things like garlic). I always enjoy speaking with Stefanie about her love of all things cheese and have featured her in some stories for Berks Country
